Hi there, I’m Janine Friston, introvert networking host, podcaster and business mentor.
Being an introvert, I struggled with attending networking events when I started in business back in 2018. I didn’t feel welcome or comfortable, and definitely didn’t like the focus on selling, making sales and the clicky environments.
I wanted to meet other people in a more relaxed, but professional space. I wanted to meet likeminded business owners, who didn’t like the ‘icky’ sales groups, and just to be me.
But there was nothing for people like us.
So, I created my own group which has grown into the Female Business Club –with community, conversations, building relationships and growing your business in a way that works for, and with you.
Business feels different at the Female Business Club because we’re all about growing our business in a way that feels natural and aligned to you - we build connections and relationships naturally and organically, we collaborate in a way that feels positive, we have smaller online events where everyone gets the chance to be heard and feel supported and we grow your confidence - which grows your business.
THIS is everything I wish I’d had when I first started because once I learnt that I didn’t have to pretend to be someone I wasn’t and that I could do business on my terms, in my way…it changed everything.

I love bringing people together. I’m now seen as a connector, as a supporter of female entrepreneurship, helping business owners to network and become more confident in growing their audience and business.
But it’s not always been like that for me.
It’s tough being a woman in business, we may have caring responsibilities, the main person with childcare responsibilities, we can lack the energy and time to do ‘everything’ in our businesses.
And then put being an introvert, or quietly-confident, into the mix….. and it can stop us in our tracks!
But it can be done. You can meet others, have the energy and balance between work and your personal life.
